In 1872 when Yellowstone was declared the first national park in America, the country recognized there were places too sacred and too majestic to be owned, exploited or erased by private enterprise. Thus, the National Park Service was put in place to preserve and protect our treasured landscapes. These parks continue to inspire a scene of wonderment, and national pride, generation after generation.

I believe art plays a vital role in conserving the history and environment of our nation. My painting of Yellowstone Falls can serve as both a tribute and testimony, inviting the viewer to engage on a more intimate level. When viewers connect emotionally with a landscape, they are more likely to help protect it.  Living on the Edge at Yellowstone Falls, is a reminder that our national parks belong to all of us and are truly worth protecting.
