Join us on July 13, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m. for a morning of gratitude and inspiration at the Eiteljorg Museum’s Member Appreciation Breakfast. This special event is our way of thanking you, our dedicated members. Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the company of fellow Eiteljorg supporters while celebrating our mission to explore the intersection of the arts, histories, and cultures of the past and present by sharing the diverse stories of the American West and the Indigenous Peoples of North America.
As part of this appreciation breakfast, we proudly present an exclusive program on our acclaimed Why We Serve: Native Americans in the United States Armed Forces exhibit. The program will feature Alexandra Harris, exhibit curator and co-author of Why We Serve, and Rebecca Trautmann, curator for the National Native American Veterans Memorial. Alexandra and Rebecca are curators at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian. This powerful and moving exhibit honors Native American veterans and their profound contributions to the U.S. military. Through personal stories, artifacts, and multimedia displays, Why We Serve explores the deep-rooted warrior traditions and the complex reasons behind the patriotism and service of Native peoples.

- Book signing: Alexandra Harris will be on hand to sign your copy of Why We Serve. Copies are available for sale in the store.
