FREE DAY: Indigenous Peoples’ Day

In celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day, the Eiteljorg will offer free admission to all on Monday, October 9. Please join us for cultural performances, art-making demonstrations, and in-gallery programming.

Join David Boxley, artist, culture-bearer and storyteller, and Kandi McGilton, basket weaver and language revivalist, for programming and demonstrations throughout the day. Also, get a tour of the Native American galleries from Curator of Native American Art, Dorene Red Cloud, and Hoback Curator of Great Lakes Native Cultures and Community Engagement, Monica Jo Raphael.

Schedule:

11 – 12 p.m.: Gallery tour with Monica Jo Raphael
1 – 2 p.m.: Talk with David and Kandi
3 – 5 p.m.:  Artist Demonstrations
3 – 4 p.m.: Gallery tour with Dorene Red Cloud
