Community Video Submission
Why We Serve: Native Americans in the United States Armed Forces
We want you to be part of this special exhibition! If you are a veteran or current servicemember of the U.S. Armed Forces, we invite you to submit a short video telling your stories of service.
Telling Your Story of Service
There are currently over 16 million veterans in the U.S., and all have a story to tell. In the spirit of community engagement, we seek your stories of service. If you are a veteran or current servicemember of the U.S. Armed Forces, we invite you to submit a short video (no longer than 2 minutes) in response to the prompts below. You need not identify as Native American to participate.
We intend to provide our family-friendly museum audience with a glimpse of your experience. The goal is to create a video fashioned in the sense of StoryCorps, the radio program featured on NPR, “recording, preserving, and sharing” your unique stories. The collected videos will be displayed at the museum during the run of the exhibition and may also be used on the museum’s website, YouTube, and social media channels, as well as for promotional and marketing purposes.
