Día de Muertos Community Art and Altars
October 10 – November 2, 2023
Come in to see the altars, or ofrendas, created by different organizations and groups from the local area and put a photo or note on the community ofrenda in remembrance of a departed loved one.
Día de Muertos Community Art and Altar Exhibit
Beautiful community-created altars, or ofrendas, take center stage in the Día de Muertos Community Art and Altar exhibit, open and free to visit during regular museum hours Oct. 10 through Nov. 2, 2023. Will feature favorites including altars by the Consulado de Mexico en Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Central Library, Mujeres Conectadas en Indy, Christ Church Cathedral and others.
Spend some time with each of these intricate works of art and add a note for your own departed loved one to the community ofrenda.

How to visit: See exhibit Mon-Sat 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sun 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
Admission: Exhibit is free and open to the public during regular museum hours.

Los hermosos altares u ofrendas, creados por la comunidad, son el centro de atención de la exhibición de Arte y Altares, abierta y gratuita durante el horario habitual del museo, del 10 de octubre al 2 de noviembre.
