Cowboy Couture: The Fashion of Jerry Lee Atwood

March 28, 2026 – Aug. 2, 2025

Experience the new exhibition that spotlights local roots and the international reach of Western Wear through the lens of Indianapolis artist Jerry Lee Atwood.

Home Grown and Custom Made

Cowboy Couture marks a milestone as the first solo exhibition for Indianapolis-based fashion designer Jerry Lee Atwood. Through his meticulous designs and the icons who wear his work, Atwood’s couture Western suits bridge the styles of the past, established by legendary Western wear designers, to contemporary pop culture figures. The custom work embodies a convergence of made-to-measure creations with intricate chain-stitch embroidery, hand-applied embellishments, and a narrative-driven graphic design. Each garment reflects a highly individualized collaboration between artist and wearer. The exhibition represents a continuation of Western American fashion as both a cultural and storytelling phenomenon.
