Join us for a reading of Rough Draughts for Notes to Indian Sketches by playwright Gregory Hinton, a performance based on Alfred Jacob Miller’s journal entries from his early 19th century travels in the West. It’s followed by a gallery walk and Q-and-A with curators Karen McWhorter and Johanna M. Blume.
About Gregory Hinton: Author, historian, and keynote lecturer, Hinton’s work explores diverse cultural themes and how they relate to the community at large. A son of the rural Rocky Mountain West, Hinton devotes his energies to Out West™, his national museum program series offering lectures, films, plays and gallery exhibitions dedicated to shining a light on LGBTQ history and culture in the American West.
