Alfred Jacob Miller: Revisiting the Rendezvous Exhibition Opening

August 3 @ 11:30 am - 3:00 pm

Join us for the opening day of Alfred Jacob Miller: Revisiting the Rendezvous, a traveling exhibition of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming. The exhibition explores painter Alfred Jacob Miller’s early 19th-century expedition to paint scenes from the American West and Miller’s relationship with his Scottish patron, William Drummond Stewart.

Opening day activities include an 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Slowing Looking Tour with a couple of our volunteer guides and a 1 p.m. gallery tour of the exhibition led by Johanna M. Blume, curator of Western art, history and culture. Slow down and enjoy a closer look at one of Miller’s pieces with a museum Guide, and try your hand at sketching in the gallery. All supplies will be provided and included with museum admission.
