Join Eiteljorg Museum’s Dorene Red Cloud (Oglala Sioux), Curator of Native American Art, and walk through the soon-to-close exhibits, Native Art History is Made Here and Contemporary Art Fellowship 2023. Members will learn about exhibit development, how art and objects are selected, and the strategy behind placement. Native Art History is Made Here features a range of artworks from 1999 and 2001 Fellows from the Eiteljorg Museum’s Contemporary Native Art Fellowship. The tour includes a last look at the 2023 Contemporary Art Fellowship UNSETTLE/Converge, which highlights our 2023 Contemporary Art Fellows who are leading the way in dismantling settler-colonial definitions of contemporary Native art to present leading Native voices and visions.

This event is free to Eiteljorg Museum members and includes complimentary coffee and donuts.
