Member-only Inside Look at the State of the Eiteljorg Museum Collection: Part Two

December 8, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Join Eiteljorg Museum staff and Nicole Grabow, Director of Preventative Conservation for the Midwest Arts Conservation Center, as we continue our look at the museum’s evolving storage enhancements. Grabow is a trained objects conservator with over 15 years of experience and a particular interest in working with Native American communities. She has been with MACC since 2006 and previously worked at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian and other institutions. Allison Evans, Director of Collections and Exhibition Management will talk about the status of the storage expansion and the next steps. Guests will enjoy a tour of the newest storage area and hear more about how we use this space to protect and preserve the collection.
This is the second program in our four-part series on:

• The state of the museum’s collection
• Planning new and expanded storage space including, design elements and preservations strategies
• Sustainable practices, including lighting, fire suppression, and HVAC.

This event is free to Eiteljorg Museum members and includes complimentary coffee and donuts.
