Pamyua highlights Inuit culture through music and dance performance. Pamyua uses their performances to educate audiences on the history and culture of the Inuit people. Often described as “Inuit soul music” Pamyua has discovered its own genre of music. Pamyua (pronounced bum-yo-ah) is a Yup’ik Inuit word meaning Encore or Do it again.
Join Phillip Blanchett of Pamyua, an alumni Indian Market & Festival performer, for a conversation about their Inuit culture, formation of the group, and educating and entertaining through performances.
