Potawatomi Day

Explore Potawatomi culture with artists, experts and culture bearers. Get an overview of Potawatomi history from John N. Low, Ph.D., then explore the Mihtohseenionki Gallery and look for historic and contemporary Potawatomi art on exhibit in the museum. Learn about native foods and indigenous cooking methods with Gary Morseau. Watch artist Christine Morseau demonstrate black ash basketry, and make your own black ash animal. Hear stories and songs about the drum with Gerald R. Wesaw Sr. Create art with ceramic and mixed media artist Jason Wesaw, and more.
