Blog: A special message to quilters and #EJQuilts fans

Attention quilters and #EJQuilts fans: Local hospitals report a dire shortage of face masks to protect nurses and doctors from the Coronavirus. They seek donations of face masks, and can accept homemade face masks. See this link.  Do you have sewing skills and spare fabric from quilt projects? Would you consider sewing homemade face masks and donating them to your local hospital? The sewing pattern is found here:
Homemade-Mask-Pattern-COVID19

Please do not bring donated masks to the Eiteljorg; the museum is not a collection point. Instead, please check your local hospital’s website to find out where to leave donations of masks. We would love to share photos of you sewing face masks. Please share your photos with #EJQuiltersHelpHealthcareHeroes.
